The story

Good work deserves to be seen.

With a master's degree and over a decade working in leadership and communications, I have spent my career inside organizations at every stage of growth. Nonprofits. Associations. Small businesses trying to figure out who they are and how to say it.

The pattern I kept seeing was this: the organizations doing the most important work were often the worst at telling people about it. Not because they did not care, but because communications takes time, budget, and expertise that most small teams simply do not have.

"The ones that struggle aren't struggling because their work isn't good. They're invisible because no one outside their walls knows about them."

That is the gap I built Mission Made Modern to fill. Fast, professional, and built for organizations that live somewhere between DIY and a full agency.

By day I serve as the Executive Director of the Richmond Bar Association, a 1,400-member professional association. MMM is where I put the rest of what I know to work for people who need it.

What I believe

Your mission deserves better design. And you should not have to wait until you can afford an agency to get it.

The human stuff

A little more about me.

The coffee is non-negotiable.

My mornings start with a large cup and a content plan. Usually in that order. Most of the strategy happens before 8am. The rest is execution.

Chronic list-maker. Design nerd.

I have been scrapbooking since middle school and making organized lists since before that. If it can be color-coded or put in a grid, I am already on it. I have strong opinions about typography and I am not sorry.

Mom is the main job.

I have an eight-year-old named Lilly who is funny, smart, and completely unimpressed by my design work. She is my favorite person and the whole reason I built something flexible enough to actually be present for her.

I cap the number of clients I take on each month because I have seen what happens when a communications person stretches too thin. The work gets worse. You deserve better than that.

Every Sprint runs Monday to Friday. Every Engine client gets consistent, on-brand content without having to chase anyone down. I run a tight operation and I take that seriously.

Sprints start on Mondays. Engine clients start at the top of the month. Simple as that.
